King is second only to McDonald's in the hamburger and fries world.
The company claims to operate "within the highest standards" when dealing with employees or vendors. However the company has been criticized for failing to enforce safety and workers' rights principles at its restaurants and in its supply chain. The Coalition of Immokalee Workers is currently targeting Burger King to follow the example of McDonald's and Taco Bell and pay their Florida workers a living wage. The company, along with other industry leaders, has been charged with failing to acknowledge carcinogenic ingredients in its food.
